BudRREEPboopboopboop turns his optical clusters toward Taam and observes
him still holding the grenades in his hand. He belches, and his poly-vox
translates, "Taam! Put those things away, space-dammit! You're
gonna get us all killed! At least ONE of the crystals in this room
is a silicon-based life form! Now let's just get out of its lair,
leave it be and carry on down the passageway, *please*. We've had
enough aggression for one day."

Ooob confirms three fresh clips are locked into
his Triax and begins moving down the hall. Telgar and Daelstrom follow
behind. 10 meters outside the door lies the staircase both Telgar and Daelstrom
had started down. Ooob leads the way, careful with his step on the cracked
stairs. Flashlights are still your only light, but in this darkness, you
can tell that this second level is in better shape than the first floor.
When Taam reaches the second level, he notes how it appears this level
was built with a bit more care. It seems that whoever created these
halls gave a little more care in upkeeping this new level. However, the
walls are still occasionally lined with fungus, stale water drips occasionally,
and you must watch your step carefully to avoid the common cracks in the
floor.
Rounding a bend, the corridor continues straight
for 30 meters before ending at another door. Daelstrom hunts around
for a large chunk of rock - if this is a pressure door, he'll place the
rock down, insuring the team doesn't become trapped inside should the doors
close and lock (OOC - Good idea you had Dael). Having secured a decent
size rock, Ooob steps in front of the door, which opens automatically.
The room inside is completely empty. A stale, dank smell hits your senses.
It appears this room hasn't been opened in quite some time.
After investigating the room completely (Taam spends
much time, almost too much time for the rest of the team, looking
for a secret door or passage he is sure must be here), the party continues
through the southern door.
After travelling 50 meters, the corridor turns again
to the left. Ooob carefully leans over the wall, but sees nothing but an
empty passage beyond. The team continues another 50 meters before again
facing another door. Ooob activates the door and sighs at the sight beyond.
As far as his eyespots can see is a straight, seemingly endless corridor.
He grunts and steps through the archway and continues down the long hallway.
Telgar and Daelstrom follow close behind. Daelstrom is sure to block the
door again from closing. Getting trapped in this long corridor didn't sound
like a good idea.
As the rest of the team crosses through the archway
and continue down the corridor, Payne, Klik, and Taam stop after a few
paces. They watch the others with bewildered interest...
