“Elevators are back online, team,” Grynh reports. “I suggest you make
good use of them. Looks like we’re in a Punsethy Standoff here and I don’t
know what’s going to happen next.”
Raleigh scrambles up and rushes to the elevator. “I’m heading
to Deck 3 to grab any equipment down there. I’ll be right back!” Kah’liss
grunts at the technician’s insistence of moving. Why is it they never listen
to the part about ‘getting rest’ and ‘taking it easy’? He shrugs it off,
knowing that this wasn’t really the best time for either.
Brenon frowns and opts for the open hatch leading straight to
deck 2. “I’m sure you all understand the urgency in this. Be quick.” With
that, he drops down to the second level and rushes into the Cargo hold.
Got to get that shuttle ready…
Lyrium, following Zhirrzh’s request, quickly unbuckles the power
pack and belt from the nearby attackers and heads to the Technician room.
There may not be enough time to recharge all of them, but any little bit
will help. We’ll probably be needing a bit of power where we’re heading,
she muses… Zhirrzh keeps guard of the immediate area, prompting everyone
to head to the shuttle bay.
Inside the Technician room, Lyrium quickly sets the power pack
up for charging. Almost full, she notes. She unplugs the pack and connects
the power belt. After a moment the display tells her that the belt is also
nearly full. She shrugs and lets the power charger replenish the pack.
Should be a few minutes.
(Each of the assailants are also wearing IR goggles, so if anyone
is without, they can grab them now)
--- Deck 3 ---
OOC
Raleigh, I’ve got your response about grabbing
the auto weapons, but those are on the shuttle, and you indicated
you head to deck 3 first…
IC
Raleigh exits the elevator, laser pistol in hand, just in case
there was something waiting on him. The deck had not changed, the
three dead assailants still in their final pose. He checks them for any
equipment and comes up with the following:
3 Laser Pistols
2 Beltpacks
3 Power Clips
4 IR goggles
Everything quiet on Deck three. He takes what he can
--- Deck 2 ---
Brenon jumps into the cockpit of the shuttle and begins the initiatory
procedures for startup. The console springs to life in a dull green light,
the shuttle’s engines begin their prefatory hum. “Grynh, you said this
would be a piece of cake, right? Prelaunch sequence is starting,” he asks
in his chronocom to the bridge.
“Roger that, Brenon. The shuttle is set for autopilot and will
land near the LZ where the initial expedition embarked. In the lush plains
of Volturnus,” the Engineer answers. “Oh, and Zhirrzh, let’s see if your
trick works. I am releasing the shuttles….now…”
--- Deck 1 ---
You watch as the inner Airlock door closes and hear the hiss of pressurization.
A dull metallic echo makes its way to the team on deck one as the shuttle
detaches from the Serena Dawn. Raleigh on Deck three hears the similar
echo. Everyone watches the hatch, imagining the shuttles as they
make their way toward the Cruiser. Grabbing your gear together, you prepare
to make the way to the shuttle. Looks like the little adventure is about
to kick off.
OOC
The recharge takes time. The packs are almost full, but it will be
a minute or two for each. Lyrium and Zhirrzh are remaining on Deck 1 while
this occurs, and I am waiting on everyone else’s response.
